Changes of the guard for Clarity UK

Many of you will know that Richard Parker, our General Manager of the last 18 months has returned to Hotel Management. We wish Richard all the best and, in his place, our group Managing Director Dougall Love is acting GM for the immediate future. Other changes are the return of Craig Smith and the promotion of Angie Dobson, both to roles of Sales and Account Management.

Here are short bios about Dougall, Craig and Angela:

Dougall Love

Dougall’s association with Clarity began in 2000 when he joined Total Hospitality Solutions, (Clarity’s original name) some 8 years after it was founded in 1992 to create and provide application software to the Hospitality Industry. After a brief time away, he returned in 2010 to manage Clarity NZ and in 2011 purchased the NZ business from the then owners. Dougall led Clarity’s return to the UK by purchasing the UK business in 2016 and is now acting GM with the objective of keeping the business growing.

Dougall is a keen sailor and when not busy running Clarity, he’s probably out on the water.

Craig Smith

Craig has been with Clarity almost since we started in the UK and is known to most customers for his expertise in Point of Sale. However, Craig is also very familiar with both Clarity Hotel and Event Manager systems and brings that knowledge to his new role of Sales and Account Manager. He has a passion for creating happy customers and tailoring solutions to meet the needs of individual operations. As he says, “what I have seen is that no two Hotels or Event venues operate identically, and my first task is to understand what they need”. Craig’s listening skills and his attention to detail are what set him apart and he is already relishing his new role.

Craig is a passionate Leicester City supporter and is proud of their return to the top of the league.

Angela Dobson

Like Craig, Angie has been with Clarity almost since we started in the UK. In fact, her involvement with the Clarity products extend back to the very early days when Total Hospitality introduced them to the UK market. Most customers will know Angie from the way she applies her experience and knowledge of the hospitality industry to training in the Clarity systems. She will continue to manage training for Clarity while also moving to a Sales and Account Management role alongside Craig. Her passion for the Clarity products and for their users will ensure that anyone using or thinking about using Clarity products knows in-depth what they can do for their business and what Clarity can offer in support and training.

Angie is a proud mum to two growing boys and does a superb job of juggling family life with her work.
